Who Are We?

We are a brand-new gipsy jazz collective from the Netherlands, managed by the guitarists Seba Strings and Lars van Teeffelen!Regarded as Europe’s earliest jazz tradition, the genre of Jazz Manouche (alsa called 'Gipsy Jazz') emerged with Django Reinhardt in the cafés and dance halls of 1930s Paris, where European musical traditions blended with the American hot jazz.With its driving rhythms, expressive melodies and joyful improvisation, the Lyrebirds bring the sound of Jazz Manouche to life, creating a warm and uplifting atmosphere wherever its played!

Our Set-Up

We are a collective, a 'community' of musicians: Depending on your preferences and your venue, together we can think about the best set-up. This can be just 2 guitars, or it could be a trio, quartet, quintet, etc. (Involving other instruments such as double bass, violin, piano, saxophone, accordeon or clarinet).Just send us a message!Set-ups are organized by Guitarists Seba Strings and Lars van Teeffelen!
